    Alone in the Wild

    Episode 1: Can I Survive?

Ed Wardle is a self-shooting documentary producer and director with an extraordinary background in personal adventure. From mountain top to ocean floor, he’s filmed and produced a wide range of television shows, ranging from factual entertainment to extreme adventure.

Ed grew up in rural Scotland, where he developed his love of the outdoors and mountaineering. He trained as an architect before getting his first break in TV working with a series of ballooning adventure films. Since then, he has worked on numerous television shows.

In 2007, Ed summited Mt. Everest as series producer of the show “Everest: Beyond the Limit”. In 2008, he filmed an expedition to the North Pole, and he has just returned from summiting Everest a second time. The extreme filmmaker has climbed numerous mountains, is an accomplished ice climber, holds advanced diving qualifications. He has traveled extensively in South America, Africa, and the Far East.

Truth be told, however, Ed is not a survival expert. He is a very competent outdoorsman, but has no particular survival skills or knowledge. Ed’s just a guy who lives in London and loves the outdoors.

Alone in the Wild will bring this adventurous cameraman to the edge of his technical and physical abilities, and see just how long his passion for living wild will last.

Wow…guy has balls to try such an endeavor he was so mentally unprepared for.

    • Dustin

The problem is he is doing this for a documentary…if he was actually put in a survival situation out of his control the Moose (or whatever he needed to) would have been killed. Why shoot a protected animal when it is your fault you are there, and are there on purpose?

    • riki

Well I really do like whatever you did there and I really do support your dream, but at certain point your comment that ( u are not allowed to shot the dear) made me so angry and made this documentary so fake, almost as everything (mountain, lake, pine trees, mosquitos and every insect) are neatly and wildly put by some Hollywood director. Come on this doc. is supposed to be how to survive in the wild and not abide some freaking laws… Hellloooooo, I would cook you a law and let you eat the rest of it…man you or whoever made that thing, you just annoyed me with that comment…
thumbs up for everything else (except that stupid comment that is just making me scream of idiotism)

      Best regards,
      Eating the law raw :)

Excellent, must watch. Only half way through, really hope the bears dont eat him.
