Beyond the Night – a political candidate’s journey to the ballot box

From the filmmaker to DocumentaryStorm: “Hello, My name is Lloyd Williams. I am a documentary filmmaker. I have just filmed my second documentary film which is about the local council elections in region of Neath Port Talbot (Wales, UK)”
The film looks at the individual candidate’s journey to the ballot box. It explores why they are standing, motivation for doing so, their own backgrounds, effect the election has on themselves as well as their families. The film was filmed over six month period. The film looks at two candidates one a long serving Labour Councillor (Cllr John Rogers) and a young, up and coming Conservative candidate ( TJ Morgan)
The film also explores the logistics of putting on the election from the point of view of the Elections Office at the Neath Port Talbot Council.

Good stuff. It’s nice to see the humanity that goes into politics that seems to get wiped out as the politician disconnects with his values over time. Check out Barack’s campaign trail videos on youtube. They’re great.
    Good job, Lloyd. Cheers
