Bob Marley Movie: the most anticipated documentary of 2012, is here. A few days ago, we brought you Life in a Day and the response was extremely positive! That was our favorite movie of 2011 and Bob Marley Movie is by the same director: Kevin Macdonald. INCREDIBLE. JAH, MAN
NOTE: THIS IS A TRAILER.
Can he have the best documentary two years in a row!?
Bob Marley was a legend in his own time. Only thirty-six at the time of his death from cancer, most of his fans weren’t even born when he died. But that hasn’t stopped a generation from connecting to his message. Until now, there has not been a definitive Bob Marley documentary. Humanity has gotten to know the man through his music.
That is all about to change. The Marley family has given Macdonald exclusive access to their archives. The result is a powerful documentary that sheds a new light on the artist. Even the most diehard fan is in for a revelation. “We learned so much,” said his son, Ziggy Marley. “There was so much about his childhood in trenchtown that was shrouded in mystery.” Ziggy Marley felt that he also got to better understand the end of his father’s life: when illness and pain kept him away from his children and from his fans.
Bob Marley Movie is not yet out in theaters. It has its first screening at South By Southwest on Sunday, March 11, 2012. We usually only bring you full documentaries but we are making an exception to bring you an exclusive trailer about one of the greatest people of the 20th Century. Enjoy the trailer and get pysched. Jah, Man. Jah.
