Bronislaw Malinowski

Bronisław Kasper Malinowski (7 April 1884 – 16 May 1942) was a Polish anthropologist, widely considered one of the most important 20th-century anthropologists. His pioneering ethnographic fieldwork made a major contribution to the study of Melanesia and of reciprocity.
