Drugs Inc – Ketamine

Considered an essential drug in the healthcare system by the World Health Organization due to its several uses around a hospital, it also has become popular in the party scene, where it is known as “Special K.” The effect is causes on the human mind is called dissociative anesthesia, meaning that signals to the conscious mind are blocked from other parts of the brain. Your mind and body become detached from reality and you are taken into a depersonalized world.

In this documentary, we meet ketamine users, traffickers, doctors, and law enforcement, in order to get the full perspective on this often misunderstood drug.

I wouldn’t touch any recreational drugs that did not grow from the ground. Even at that, I’ve never tried anything other than good old Mary Jane.

Me, too! I stick with the basics.

So if something comes from the ground it’s okay? You do realize that almost all the drugs in the pharmaceutical arsenal are derived from plants right? Just because something is natural doesn’t mean it isn’t harmful.

“full perspective” is so far from the truth. this documentary is an absolute joke. firstly – you are an idiot if you manage to get yourself in a situation where your using anywhere near 1 – 5+ gram daily.

secondly – to say this is a full perspective when the whole documentary focuses on the criminality and health risks (of people using absolutely absurd amounts) but it fails to talk about the amazing a overdue studies that have be undertaken using ketamine to treat clinical depression, especially those who have had no success with traditional anti-depression. the hope that i can be modified to be as safe as possible to treat depression is one of the most ground breaking discovery’s in mental health ever.

i personally have suffered depression for as long as i was old enough to question my mortality and have tried many medications and avenues including irresponsible ‘self-medication’ with recreational drugs and i noticed without any prior knowledge that after i had ketamine on the weekend the following 6 days or so i noticed a dramatically good change in my state of mind and my depressive symtoms. i have since found out about this research and i strongly believe ketamine can improve and save the lives of a lot of people struggling depressive disorders.

this documentary is so clearly a scare mongering piece to try keep the failed war on drugs alive.

i was going to paste some links to medical journals but just good ketamine and depression and you’ll find it yourself.

lets all hope the US can finally realise their approach to the war on drugs and it’s impact of research in to powerful psychoactive drugs that could save lives is finally over.

I agree who the hell is going to use 1 or more grams a day. That’s a retarded amount of K

    • rhobere

I’ve heard of people using that amount of K, but not on a daily or even semi-regular basis. I was more shocked to see some IV K. I thought the whole reason people IM it is because otherwise it would just knock you straight out. To say that dude had a tolerance was an understatement.
