    For the Bible Tells Me So

    For the Bible Tells Me So is a 2007 American documentary film directed by Daniel G. Karslake about homosexuality and its perceived conflict with religion, as well as various interpretations of what the Bible says about same-sex sexuality.

    It also includes lengthy interview segments with several sets of religious parents (including former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt and his wife, Jane, and the parents of Bishop V. Gene Robinson) regarding their personal experiences raising homosexual children, and also interviews with those (adult) children. The film features an animated segment, “Is Homosexuality a Choice?”

      Powerful, clearly addresses the scripture quoters who use god as a weapon and a justification for hate and violence. I am proud to live in Massachusetts where we are proving that love is for everyone.

      It’s the seafood eaters—they’re the real problem… Sitting in dimly lit establishments slurping things from shells that look like no natural person should want to eat them. I hear in some states, they’re even allowed to marry. Shameful. I don’t understand why their parents don’t disown them.

      Or maybe I should just take the compassionate approach and remember that such people just need therapy.
