DocumentaryStorm.com has been a project of love from Day 1. We wanted to bring you the best collection of free documentaries on the web. So, a few years ago that’s exactly what we started to do. We added 1 documentary, then 2, then 3; soon we were past the 1,000 mark and we have never looked back.

But the real secret to its success has been the people who have embraced the website. Through your comments, emails to friends, twitter, and facebook posts DocumentaryStorm has become a real community.  The people who visit this website are smart.  Really smart, and the philosophical and scientific discussions that go on around the site are inspired.

DocumentaryStorm receives over 500,000 visitors per month and it’s growing fast. This got us thinking: THAT’S A LOT OF SMART!

We are looking for volunteers who would enjoy writing FEATURED articles about documentaries. This could be articles about upcoming documentaries, festivals, analysis of directors, favorite documentary series, sweeping themes, review of a documentary that you just saw,  the art of the documentary etc. You can even suggest that you will do a youtube type video review or roundup of documentary news. Example:
