    Lost Nuke

Brave people in a dark time. History and time has a way of diminishing machinery but not heroism. As a kid(1961) -machines look gigantic, and a plane at Dublin airport was like looking at a tall building waiting to fly.

40 years later- Irish ‘kid’- sees a B36 Peacemaker at Atwater California . It was less ‘large’ only because , I venture to suggest, it was close to a 1970′s era B52.

It was still impressive. Even my girlfriend of the time-was entranced-a little.

Yet unlike the B52-which was operational in VietNam -the B36 seemed almost forgotten.

This documentary brings an era; and a machine to light. The hardware has altered -but human bravery was-and hopefully still remains-at large.
