Mystery of the Murdered Saints

The Catholic Church has finally allowed scientists to open the crypts and test the magical elements of the Saintly miracles.

National Geographic has exclusive access to the forensic investigation.

Deep in the crypt below the Cathedral of Reggio Emilia lie a set of bones believed to be those of two ancient saints, Chrysanthus and Daria.

For more than 1,500 years they’ve been hidden away … until now. Can science prove that these are a man and woman who were brutally executed by the Romans in the fight against a growing Christian faith?

Interesting Documentary, I believe it was a great story.

Soooooooo……..it’s true because the bones are between 80 and 300 CE? I mean, wouldn’t that be obviously inconclusive, since it’s only one factor of many that has been established as factual. I remember when the history channel first arrived as being fantastic educational viewing; but now it appears that it has become just a sensationalized dumb down version of history.

Also, how ethical is it to have people obviously religious, to examine and instantiate a well known religious christian relic.

    FAIL

I want to be polite. And I don’t want to offend anyone. But why do they do it like this? This kind of narrating and reconstruction is tremendously frustrating. Why not trust the investigation and keep the questions open in stead of making this kind of unitary truthtentative approach? It is making a more quasi-scientific feel than the research here actually may be. Even if the ideashould have been to propagate faith, or awe or whatever, it appears rather counterproductive in such regards. So why? This should be far below the qualitatve standards of National Geographic. The use of the music shouldn’t be needed to mention. Bah. It is a disgrace to the proper scientists involved; I believe they agree. And worse still, I suspect that those responsible for making the documentary like this also do know. So again, Why?
