Canada captured and housed Nazi POWs during World War II. In twenty five camps across Canada, German soldiers spent years of their life. Filmmaker Eva Colmers explores her father’s story: a man who spent four years in a POW camp in Alberta. And loved it. Growing up in Germany, she had always been puzzled by her father’s fond memories of his POW life, so when she moved to Canada, she set out to rediscover this story. What she found surprised her.
