The Fastest: Understanding the World Through Speed

It’s a fast pace world. In it, we lead rapid fire lives. Everything is rush, rush, rush. Faster is always better. In this documentary, we will show you a whole different side to going faster. and show how the universe is ruled by speed.This documentary explores how immense speed changes our perception of reality.  From our fastest Olympic sprinters to the science fiction of warp speed: speed in all its shapes. The fastest man-made object ever to be rocketed into space? The New Horizon probe. It is headed towards Pluto at 52,000 miles per hour.
The distances in our solar system are enormous. If we are ever going to properly explore the universe we will need to master speed.

    thats not true at all about radiation from cosmic rays ,apparently space exposor only raises your chance of getting canser in your lifetime by only 1% raising it to 21% if your a smoker it will be raised to 41%

       Where the hell did you get that information from? Cosmic radiation is powerful enough to cook you and our whole planet, depending on the size of the burst. We are lucky here on Earth because our magnetosphere blocks out most if not all of it. That one of the main reasons why astronauts haven’t gone farther than the moon. We are still working out ways to block out and shield any potential space craft from cosmic radiation waves that spew out of the sun.

      Apparently Videoeyes thinks he’s commenting on youtube.  Unfortunately, he is correct despite all outward appearance of butthurt adolescence.  The reason, reagon, that cosmic rays would be a danger is the extreme sporadic nature of their emission.  You were possibly confused by a study citing the average exposure or exposure during low periods of solar activity.  However, the sun is consistently creating huge spikes in it’s emission intensity due to flares, more than enough to play pinball with your DNA.  This is why you often hear about theoretical Mars spacecraft which have lead shielded capsules, in which the astronauts can take shelter during these periods of high solar activity.

    GPS units do not transmit to the satellites. The satellites transmit information that is received by the GPS units. Wow!
