The Third Jihad
Radical Islam’s Vision for America
There are estimated to be over 1.6 billion Muslims around the world, comprising almost a quarter of the world’s population. Most Muslims are peaceful and do not support terror. However, this documentary is not about them; it is about radical Islamists. Narrated by Muslim American Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, The Third Jihad exposes the threat that radical Islam’s worldview poses in a multifaceted strategy to overcome Western civilization, by means that include violence and terrorism.
The film features extensive research as well as interviews with prominent individuals such as New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former CIA operative Wayne Simmons, Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman, FBI Assistant Director for Public Affairs John Miller and Police Commissioner of New York City Raymond Kelly. The Third Jihad was even used for the New York Police Department (NYPD) as part of their counterterrorism training.
In 1988, a secret Muslim Brotherhood document was discovered. In it, detailed plans were laid out that would put an end to the American Constitution and replace it with Islamic Sharia Law. The document contained statements such as “The Ikhwan (Brotherhood) must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…”
After the manifesto was released, one man took it upon himself to investigate the truth. This man’s name is Dr. Zuhdi Jasser. A physician and devout Muslim, Dr. Jasser has dedicated his life to fighting the threat of radical Islam. He saw it at his responsibility to expose them because he resented the fact that these people were exploiting the religion he loves.
After 9/11, it was quickly discovered that Muslim radicals were behind the attacks, and footage of Bin Laden went viral where he stated, “these young men have done a great thing.” Jasser expected to see Muslims take to the streets protesting and condemning Bin Laden’s words. Instead, what happened was that many American Muslim leaders actually agreed with Bin Laden and held large rallies in which they demanded that the young men responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people no longer be called “suicide bombers” but “heroes.”
Dr. Jasser then decided to form his own organization through which he would condemn terrorism. To his surprise local Muslim leaders refused to participate in his rally and shortly afterwards, Islamic leadership across the country rejected him.
The radical Muslim’s purpose is to spread Islam and fight against non-believers as well as to establish Islamic Law all over the world, using violence if necessary. As grandiose and unrealistic as it may sound, America is on their list.
