In this documentary film, Spencer Windes tells the story of what it was like for him to evolve from a Mormon missionary to an openly gay man through violent contact sports.

As the middle child in a middle class family, he wanted to be like the other boys but instead lived in a closet praying for Jesus to set him straight. At the age of 31, overweight and empty, he was still a college dropout, unemployed, and living at home. His life changed the day he found out that a lot of gay men played rugby and other violent contact sports.

Every man needs to be part of a tribe. To Windes, and many other gay men, sports provide of community and connection that they need.
